You can donate your time and volunteer to work in the Rescue. Did you know that everybody who works at the Rescue is a volunteer? It takes a lot of people-power to take care of all of us. We need to be fed, our living quarters need to be cleaned, we need to go to the vet, etc. Some of our volunteers are adults and some are kids. Some cannot have animals at home and some are working on high school community service graduation requirements. Some cannot get enough of us cats and dogs!! You can donate money to help defray the costs of running the Rescue. Did you know that the adoption donations that we ask for when someone adopts a kitten only cover a small part of the expenses incurred to care for the kitten? The majority of the Rescue's expenses are covered by generous donations from people like you who believe in the mission of the Rescue. An simple way for you to donate money to the rescue is to use the PayPal Charitable Giving Fund. The PayPal Charitable Giving Fund has several ways to make a donation, including credit cards and they cover the expenses associated with processing and delivering your gift to the Rescue. You can donate some of the food and supplies that we need at the Rescue. We are always hungry and we love Purina Friskies' Pate' style canned cat food. We eat a lot of dry food also. We always need serving bowls, water bowls, paper towels, scratching posts, toys, cat litter, litter boxes, dishwasher soap, cleaning supplies, and many other things. When there are dogs and puppies in the Rescue, the list of supplies we need gets even bigger. You can be Foster Parents to some of us. Some of our volunteers take care of us in their homes until we are adopted. Sometimes its one or two of us. Sometimes it is a mother cat and her kittens. The interaction between us and you helps to make us more social and accustomed to being well adjusted pets. Living in a Foster Home gives us a lot more interaction with humans that does living in the Rescue.
